Stephen Volk‘s Ghostwatch – the seminal, faux documentary event first aired in the UK on Halloween 1992 – is finally getting a release in the US courtesy of the specialist horror streaming service Shudder.

Presented as a real, live documentary that starred known TV personalities as themselves, Ghostwatch was the cause of mass hysteria during it’s original run as terrified viewers flooded the BBC switchboards. It focused on the local haunting of a house in London and the omnious activity of the poltergeist known as Mr Pipes.

Shudder is fast becoming the ‘Netflix of horror’ and is home to many ghoulish treats from around the globe.
