Canadian comedian Russell Peters stars in the brand new, four part comedy-drama The Indian Detective, directed by Sandy Johnson. Shot between South Africa, India and Canada, the series has it’s Canadian premiere on Thursday November 23rd at 9pm (ET/PT) on CTV – with a global release on Netflix to come this December. The fish out of water comedy follows a Toronto cop (Peters) who investigates a murder case whilst visiting his father in Mumbai. Despite his Indian heritage, he is still an outsider and soon falls deeper into a dangerous conspiracy. The series co-stars Star Trek legend William Shatner and Bollywood superstar Anupam Kher alongside Christina Cole (Casino Royale), Mishqah Parthiephal (Snark Park) and Hamza Haq (mother!).

The Indian Detective is a co-production between Big Light Production’s Frank Spotnitz (The X Files, The Man in the High Castle), Blue Ice Picture’s Lance Samuels and Daniel Iron, Bell Media and Wonder Films.
