Always up for an adventure, he’s shot docs in Mali, Iraq and Afghanistan (all overseen by the BBC’s High Risk team), and organised expedition shoots for young adults in some of the toughest mountain environments in Scotland, the Cuillin Ridge and An Teallach.
He’s at home working with internationally renowned DOPs such as double Emmy winner Keith Partridge, but also enjoys self-shooting, to cinema standard, especially in difficult places.
He is a Eurodoc graduate, and works regularly to develop projects with other directors and co-producers.
His first novel won the Scottish Book Trust’s Next Chapter Award in 2016.
