After writing and directing a host of commercials and award-winning short films – including Tumshie McFadgen’s Bid For Ultimate Bliss, which won him a Scottish BAFTA – Simon Hynd moved into features and television.

He wrote and directed the thriller feature Senseless for Matador Pictures, Circle of Confusion & Plum Films and he currently has a number of features in development.

In TV, Simon has worked across genres; he has directed popular kids’ TV shows such as Half Moon Investigations and Kudos’s M.I High for C BBC, and Nickelodeon’s Summer in Transylvania.

For TV comedy, Simon directed episodes of the BBC4 show Bob Servant Independent, starring Brian Cox, and the first series of You, Me and Them, Gold’s first original UK sitcom commission.
