Director Paul Taylor’s BAFTA nominated horror short The Blue Door is making the move to the big screen after being picked up by Amblin Partners for a feature deal.

Starring Gemma Whelan (Game of Thrones), the short film revolved around a nurse, caring for a strange, house bound elderly woman, who is stalked by a dark entity on the other side of a mysterious, supernatural blue door.

The feature adaptation is set to again be directed by Paul Taylor and written by the short’s co-writer’s/producers Megan Pugh and Ben Clark. Amblin moved on the deal following strong interest and will be produced by The Picture Company’s Alex Heineman and Andrew Rona, along with Pugh and Clark.

Good Fear Film + Management and Gunpowder & Sky will executive produce.
