Tim Lebbon’s The Silence casts it’s lead
The Silence, based on Tim Lebbon‘s fantasy-horror novel, is gearing up for production and has just cast Mad Men actress Kiernan Shipka. Adapted for the big screen by Carey and Shane Van Dyke (Chernobyl Diaries), the movie has set it’s sights on a September shoot date.
Produced by Robert Kulzer (Resident Evil), Alexandra Milchan (Wolf of Wall Street) and Scott Lambert (AMC’s The Terror), the tale follows Ally, a deaf teenager, and her family as they are ravaged by a deadly new breed of parasitic insects known as Vesps. As the attacks spread, Ally’s own heightened senses become their best chance for survival.
